g,morning all...
Do you know what a true swami is? I had a cartoon sort of idea...
a generalized good feeling about this sort of assignment. So I looked
for some guidance about what mission a swami undertakes and why.
And once again, I see the tremendous sense of humor in The Fates.
I do believe that if I keep my eyes open I can find the purpose in every
happening. Yep, this is where I need to be! From what I could gather,
I am not in this position because of my own wisdom or worth. Rather,
I am here because those are the very things I need to become more aware
of and grateful for all around me.
I am not here because I have a truth to share; but because I have much
to learn. Not because I am pure but that I need to become more pure and
focused on the things that are of greatest importance. And it
is from the thinking and listening and piecing together of the thoughts
of many that I may come closer to these attributes.
The work of the swami in Eastern culture is to eliminate those things
which distract her/him from her true, determined purpose. The things of
greatest merit tend not to be physical things but the ideas of service to
a higher truth that makes each of us a better servant to each other
and so to ourselves as well.
When we come to this wonderful Neighborhood, we throw down all that is of no real use.
Our journey is forever and so we pack only the courage, open mindedness; the
stuff that is necessary for our work. There is no room for the weight of excuses or
complaints if we are to have the energy to act and do and be.
I love thinking and talking with all of you. You teach and learn with every post.
We are all swamis here together... I am grateful to be in this growing garden
of truth and light!
The more we support
