Im all most 14 months out from surgery and Im having problems with retaining fluids. By the end of the night my legs are swollen 2 to 3 times larger than they normally are. Does any one else have this problem? Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Thanks Brandy action-smiley-065.gif

Yikes Brandy... Have you checked with your doc?
I'm thinking that's a must for starters.
Has this just begun happening?
How long would you say this has been an issue?
Did you have this kind of swelling in your legs prior to WLS?
Fill us in a little here and talk to your doc today.
Thanks for the question. Sure hope you'll be finding a
solution real soon!

Brandy,

As Mickee and Carewa say above, please call your doctor. The amount you're retaining doesn't sound like it's related to food/water intake. Too many carbs, too much salt, insufficient liquid intake, all of these can contribute to water retention, but usually not to the extent you describe. Hopefully your doc can identify the cause and fix you right up.
